Last Wednesday (9th of November 2011), 10,000 of students went to the street to protest against the raise on tuition fees proposed by the Tories’ government as well as cuts in the welfare system of the country.
The demonstration started at UCL (central London) and headed to St. Paul’s Cathedral, where the protesters met members of the Occupy London, organization that organized the protest of the 15th of October followed by the political occupation at the bottom of the Saint Paul’s Cathedral.
The whole protest, as well as all the roads and their vicinities was heavily surveilled by police officers and the action of the protesters extremely limited. Bellow there are some pictures that I’ve taken during the afternoon. To read more about this demonstration, click here.
